Dr. Phil Nelson
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Nelson grew up in the quiet city of Saint John, New Brunswick. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, where he was also the varsity basketball trainer in 2008. Furthering his education, Dr. Nelson graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2012 before chasing the mountains and practicing in Calgary, AB for the next 9 years.
While in Calgary, Dr. Nelson was the official chiropractor of the Alberta Ballet / School of Alberta Ballet, an active member of the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sports Medicine Team, and a patroller with the Canadian Ski Patrol at Banff Sunshine Village. He has always been passionate about health, and is a firm believer that “pre-habilitation”, proper biomechanics, and education will lead to a happier, healthier life. Always furthering his knowledge, Dr. Nelson is eager to learn new techniques and therapies to help his patients have an effective, efficient and fast recovery. To date, he has taken several Active Release courses, is certified in Graston Technique, and has his ACC level II acupuncture designation. His main practice focus is on acute injuries from head to toe, managing pain, and returning patients to the activities that they love. During his free time, Dr. Nelson can be found hiking, scrambling, downhill / cross-country mountain biking, as well, downhill and back-country skiing. |
